Safety and recycling are big themes in the manufacturing industry. Several regulations and laws have been adopted to regulate both areas. Within the factory, the overall picture is difficult to visualise and it can be difficult for staff to navigate to the nearest safety or recycling point if necessary. Also, inspectors always have to go through the whole factory to make sure everything is up to date and in good condition.

Solution

Thanks to the Genius Core™ platform, staff always know where all safety and recycling points are located. The platform provides a visual and real-time snapshot of the factory 24/7. The available safety and recycling points can be shown to workers before they enter the factory, as the platform also serves as a great orientation tool.

Key outcomes

The platform makes staff work much smoother and safer. The visual snapshot was connected to the info screens, so it is available to all staff 24/7. We have also managed to reduce the amount of waste that needs to be incinerated, as we have been able to add recycling points in more logical locations thanks to the visualisation. The platform also makes the inspectors’ job easier, as they can check, for example, that fire extinguishers are properly dated and that there are a sufficient number of safety and recycling points for the size of the plant.
